Installation Instructions

To apply this update please download the InstantKB.NET 2.0 RC2 update from within your My.InstantASP client area. Once you've downloaded the files simply replace all your existing files (excluding your web.config) with the latest versions. If you do replace the web.config file you may need to set the connection string setting again to your database.

You'll then need to run a script against your existing InstantKB.NET 2.0 RC1 database to upgrade the schema to RC2 without losing any data.

The script you need to execute against your database is attached below. You will need to connect to your database in SQL Server Management Studio or Query Analyzer within SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager and execute the script against your existing InstantKB.NET 2,0 RC1 database.

Once you've replaced all files and upgraded your database you should attempt to access your existing installation via your web browser. If you run into any problems please don't hesitate to post within our community forums or contact us.
