We often get asked what are the buttons for within our software and how can our users take advantage of the XML that is rendered to screen when the  button is clicked.

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing content. RSS defines an XML grammar (a set of HTML-like tags) for sharing content. Each RSS text file contains both static information about your site, plus dynamic information about your forum or knowledge base content.

The RSS buttons within our software can be used to syndicate content with 3rd party web sites or allow individuals to keep upto date using RSS syndication software.

To take advantage of the RSS feeds you will need to download a RSS syndication tool to subscribe and read RSS feeds. A brief list of good RSS tools is provided below.

We do provide the option within our software to disable the RSS feeds. Some customers are not familiar with RSS and feel this can sometimes confuse the more novice visitor.
