ERRMSG: Not a valid Win32 application exception after installing InstantForum.NET or InstantKB.NET

If you install either InstantForum.NET or InstantKB.NET on a x54 (64nit) machine you may receive the following error message...

Exception Message: is not a valid Win32 application. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1)



Cause

The occurs due to the obfuscation on our InstantASP.Licensing.dll. This only effects the InstantASP.Licensing.dll as no other assemblies are obfuscated. We will be working to ensure this is resolved out the box with future updates.

Resolution

To resolve this problem you need to replace our InstantASP.Licensing.dll within the application bin directory with a version compiled for AnyCPU.
