InstantKB.NET Installation Requirements

InstantKB.NET Installation Requirements


In order to install InstantKB.NET you'll need to ensure you have the components listed below.

Web Server

- Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, XP Professions, Visa Home Premium or higher

- .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5

- Microsoft AJAX Web Extensions 1.0

- Internet Information Services (IIS) 5, 6 or 7

Database Server

- Microsoft® SQL Server 2005 or 2000. Express editions are also supported.

Development Tools

In order to modify source code within InstantKB.NET we would recommend Visual Studio.NET. Both Microsoft® Visual Studio.NET 2005 and 2008 are supported. Visual Studio is not required to customize the look & feel, create new skins or modify the HTML contained within the MasterPage.Master file. All source code & code-behind  is VB.NET.
